At Raise the Bar CrossFit, we challenge our members in a friendly, supportive environment to be the best they can be. We believe that community is the heart of accomplishment. We support each other not just in fitness, but in being the best we can be in all areas of life.
What kinds of equipment will I find?
You won’t find typical gym equipment at Raise the Bar. Our focus is on functional movement. Therefore equipment is minimal and the equipment we do use focuses on building functional movement abilities. For the most part, you will find barbells, ropes, pull-up rigs, tires, kettlebells, Concept 2 rowers, jump ropes, medicine balls, and plyo boxes.
What kinds of people will I find?
Our members range from police officers to stay-at-home moms; triathletes to local business owners; and teens to those in their “golden years.” Everyone is welcome at Raise the Bar. Whether you haven’t worked out in years (or ever, for that matter) or you are training for your next endurance event, our doors are open!
What can I expect when I walk in the first time?
We’re not a fancy gym. We work out in a 7,000 square foot facility with rubber mats and functional movement equipment. We sweat, we push each other, we laugh together, we even sometimes cry together. But beyond that, we are friends and family first. You’ll find lots of friendly faces ready to get you moving. We know it can be a bit intimidating to walk in the first time, but we have all been there and definitely get it! We’ve got your back, so just come on in and get started!
Is it hard?
CrossFit can be modified to any fitness level. Is it challenging? Yes. CrossFit will push you to be your best. But it is also something that anyone can do and it can help you to achieve goals you never thought possible. We dream big here!
